Ep. 27 - Feliz NaviDAD

It's the most wonderful time of the year at the Wheel House and we're kicking off a brand new month-long holiday special! Jimi did the honors of opening our Christmas season with Feliz NaviDAD, a category focusing on Dads at Christmas. Matt and Shanley both bring in some strong recommendations, but will Jimi pick a nomination that isn't his own? Not likely, but possibly! But also, not likely.

Kickboxer Retaliation

This one's a doozie, that's for sure. Shanley chose 2018's Kickboxer Retaliation, the fifth in Van Damme's Kickboxer franchise. This film is full of mystical (if nonsensical) proverbs from a fifty-something Van Damme and a hero with an odd choice of motivations and priorities. This will be our final normal episode for the year before we kick into our holiday special, so hop aboard! ('cause there's a train in this movie too, or something).

Ep. 25 - Movie Jar

Shanley's Weekly Watch Wheel wish has come true --she's spun movie jar (after two or three re-spins, but who's counting?). From the Movie Jar, she can choose from The Room (2003), The Mummy (2017), and Jean-Claude Van Damme. This will be our last regular spin of the year before going into our Holiday Special. What will she choose? Will it suck? Almost certainly, yeah. Tune in and find out which she picks!

The Spirit (2008)

Matt's choice this week was Frank Miller's 2008 experimental noir, The Spirit. The Weekly Watch Wheel crew doesn't seem to know exactly what to do with this odd fever dream of a film. One thing they all can agree upon is that Samuel L. Jackson is great in it. What's the deal with the cats? What's the deal with eggs? We may not know, but we'll be darn sure to ramble on about it for over three hours. Join us on this week's episode into the mean streets of Central City and get ready to be really confused!

Ep. 24 - Failed Super Hero Franchise II

Matt has again spun Failed Super Hero Franchise and again our fates in his dorky, dweeby little hands. Matt has promised an entirely new roster of nominees but will the result than any different than last time? After all, last time, the crew had to re-watch and re-record because this category seems to be cursed. We'll see what he has in store for us on this week's episode of The Weekly Watch Wheel!

Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior

Jimi chose this 1981 sequel to Mad Max, a film none of us have ever seen. In this episode, we highlight some of our favorite aspects of the movie while still managing to get extremely sidetracked with all sorts of tomfoolery and nonsense. This week's recording is no less chaotic than the worst post-apocalyptic wasteland you could possibly imagine!

Ep. 23 - Sequel to a Movie We Haven‘t Seen

Jimi's got his work cut out for him this week. In this episode, Jimi has prepared a list of possible qualifying films pending confirmation that neither Shanley nor Matt have seen the preceding installment. With the aim to choose a sequel that is considered superior to its predecessor, Jimi has collected a list of gems spanning the decades. Could this lead to the objective best movie on our lists? The Ridiculous 6

Adam Sandler is one of the greats, no questions asked. HOWEVER, he really knows how to put out a healthy supply of poop fests too, but this 2015 Netflix original film might take the cow pie! Much of the Weekly Watch Wheel crew love westerns but will this comedy-western top our rankings? Spoiler Alert: No. No it will not. But at least we had some fun. Sorta.

Ep. 22 - Adam Sandler Filmography

All Hallow's Wheel was a screamin' time, but the crew is back spinning that ol' faithful Weekly Watch Wheel again. Shanley took the lead and landed Adam Sandler Filmography, a category we've not yet spun! The Sand Man is a comedy legend with a filmography that varies from classics to terrible (and everything in between). Who know's what Shanley will sentence upon us, but we're guessing it's not going to be Billy Madison.

The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad / Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark

For the first time in Weekly Watch Wheel History, the crew watched two movies for the week. When the teams choice of 'The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad' proved to be a topical disappointment, the crew calls an audible and watches Matt's original choice of 'Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark'. Will this final week of All Hallows Wheel prove to be an anti climax or end off with a bang? Find out on this week's episode of The Weekly Watch Wheel!
